JAMIE NELSEN, ACE

Jamie Nelsen, ACE graduated with Honors from
California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts
in Communications, emphasis TV/Film.

At the height of the reality TV boom, Jamie edited series for
every major network including ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX.
She received Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding
Picture Editing for Reality Programming for The Apprentice,
Top Chef and Project Runway, winning an Emmy for the
latter. After more than a decade in reality television, Jamie
launched her career in single-camera comedy. Her notable
credits include Netflix’s Arrested Development, ABC’s black•ish and HBO’s Insecure.

Partnered with mega-producer Kenya Barris (black•ish, Girls Trip, #blackAF) Jamie launched her producing career and now oversees the •ish franchise for ABC (black•ish, mixed•ish and Freeform’s critically-acclaimed grown•ish).

Jamie was recognized by Variety Magazine in the 2014 Below-the-Line
Impact Report as one of the “Up Next” Artisans. In addition to her Emmy, Jamie also won the ACE Eddie Award for Best Comedy Editing for her work on black•ish. She is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Motion Picture Editors Guild and American Cinema Editors.
